DES Students Celebrate Star Wars Day!
On May 4th, students in Miss Kopac's third grade class at DES celebrated Star Wars Day! Some of the fun activities included researching and creating timelines of the Star Wars movie releases, reading about the voice of Darth Vader (James Earl Jones), and writing about a fictitious planet in a galaxy far, far away. In math class, students practiced finding the area of shapes by drawing their own Star Wars droid on grid paper. In science class, the students got to use the (magnetic) force to move objects. It was a day full of fun and learning for all of the young Jedi!
