HS Chorus & Bear Singers

High School Chorus is a class that meets Period 1 all six days of the cycle.  If you are in concert band or orchestra, you can take a three day chorus and a three day band/orchestra.  Bear Singers is a select a capella group of students who must be in chorus in order to audition.   Bear Singers performs at all chorus concerts and also performs at many different events throughout the school year (including Hershey Bears games, Harrisburg Senators games, Graduation, and more!).  Other vocal groups are formed from the Chorus that meets Period 1 like woman's chorus, men's chorus, quartets and select ensembles.  

For specific information about Chorus for the school year, students can find that information in Schoology either in their courses or in the Group for Mixed Chorus.  See Mrs. Bissell with any questions.

Students in Chorus may also audition for the PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association) festivals.  Auditions for District Chorus are October 26th.  If you make it to Districts, you then audition for Regionals, etc.  Students auditioning for Districts this year will be considered for the new York County Chorus that is October 19.

  • Small Ensembles Concert - Thursday, May 22 at 7 PM
