2020-21 Kindergarten Enrollment
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FOR THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR ON FEBRUARY 1, 2020
When open, please use the 2020-21 Kindergarten Registration Form if you are enrolling a Kindergarten Student for the Fall of 2020.
The Northern York County School District currently offers a half-day Kindergarten Program for students that turn 5 years of age by September 1 of the given school year. The Administration and School Board are currently considering a proposal to offer a full-day kindergarten program for all students.

2020 Dates to Remember
February 1, 2020 - Sapphire online registration form.
Click the date for directions on how to create a registration account.
Once your online registration form has been submitted, you will be contacted to set up a registration appointment to complete all necessary documents. This appointment needs to be prior to the screening day.
March 5, 2020 - Kindergarten Information Forum - Student does not need to attend with Parent
Northern High School Cafeteria – 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
April 4, 2020 - Screening Day - Student must attend with Parent
Dillsburg Elementary School – 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
by appointment only
May 6, 2020 - Screening Day 2 - Student must attend with Parent
NYCSD Administration Building – 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
by appointment only
Ready Freddy - An adult must attend with the student - Registration Required

Dillsburg Elementary School – 6:30 to 8:00 PM (FREE but must be registered)
The determination of AM or PM is set annually based off of the geographical location of a student any given school year.

Modified Kindergarten Hours (for 2-hour delays):

PM - 1:55 - 3:40
Class Placement/Busing Assignment:
A letter will be mailed the beginning of August providing information regarding the assigned session (AM or PM), busing information, and teacher assignments. This letter will also be communicated via the Parent Portal.
An orientation for incoming kindergarten students is typically held one evening the week before instruction begins. This orientation gives the students an opportunity to visit the classrooms, as well as ride the bus. Parents attend orientation with their child (no younger siblings please). A building wide Back-to-School night will also be held in September. More information regarding these events will be posted on each school buildings website closer to the first day of school.
