Northern York County School District has revised its' attendance guidelines to align with Act 138 of 2016.

Administrative Guidelines:
March 27, 2017Act 138 of 2016 was signed into law on November 3, 2016. As a result, the Northern York County School District has updated its' attendance guidelines to remain in compliance with this new law. These changes are reflected in the chart and will take effect at the start of the 2017-2018.
Parent receives Doctor's Excuse Warning Letter - 6th Parent-noted absence
Parent receives Doctor's Excuse Required Letter - 10th Parent-noted absence
Parent receives First Notice Letter - 3rd Unlawful Absence
Parent invited to a School Attendance Improvement Conference (student, parent, school team in attendance) Where School Attendance Improvement Plan is developed. - 4th of 5th Unlawful Absence
School may - file Charges with District Magistrate - Notify Children and Youth - 6th Unlawful Absence
