Mrs. McKinley

Hello everyone!  My name is Mrs. McKinley and I've been teaching since 2010.  This year, I will be teaching tenth grade academic and honors English II and twelfth grade honors British Literature.  I also facilitate online cyber school classes through CAOLA.  In prior years, I taught American Literature, World Literature, Film, and Journalism.

I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2012, we have a little girl who is two years old, and we are expecting our second child in November. Little Evelyn is the light of our world now and one of our favorite things about having her is taking her places to experience the world.  She gets so enthusiastic when she sees kids and animals or hears music of which she can dance.  Her laugh is contagious and she waves at everyone. Before we had her, we traveled the world to lots of places including: Cancun (Mexico), London (England), Paris (France), Lucerne (Switzerland), Milan/Venice/Florence/Rome (Italy), San Diego/Las Angeles/San Juan Capistrano/Hollywood (California), and Las Vegas (Nevada),  On these trips we swam with dolphins, snorkeled, went tubing, spent time at water parks, visited some Mayan ruins, learned about Buckingham Palace, the Louvre, Notre Dame, took a gondola ride, climbed the Eiffel Tower, bought a Cuckoo clock, hiked the Swiss Alps, searched the Colosseum and Pantheon, attended a Price is Right Show, gambled, explored the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, danced, and ate more than we should have!  Now that we have Evie, we have been visiting zoos, campgrounds, safari attractions, discovery centers, and playgrounds. ;)

Aside from traveling, I enjoy fishing, kayaking, listening to live music especially Bluegrass, board games, eating ice cream (mint chocolate chip is my favorite), collecting moose items, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Please feel free to reach out to me for assistance.
