My Home Page - Elemental Matter(s)

  • Welcome to Mr. Hatch's home page. If you've landed here on purpose, you are either a student or the parent of a student in one of three classes; Honors Chemistry, Academic Chemistry or AP Chemistry. Here is a brief description of each course...

Honors Chemistry -(Honors - Course 303240) - This course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skills of chemistry, both in the lab and in theory, as well as opportunities to apply those skills and knowledge in challenging ways.

Academic Chemistry -(Academic - Course 303330) - This course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skills of chemistry, both in the lab and in theory. The level of challenge is somewhat less than that of Honors Chemistry, but application of skills and knowledge are still the primary focus of this course.

AP Chemistry - (Course 303350) - This course is designed for students who have completed Honors or Academic Chemistry with a high level of success and broaches more challenging concepts in chemistry theory and lab with a strong quantitative focus on inorganic concepts. Students have the option of taking the AP Exam in early May. We will be striving to complete those topics required by the College Board by early April and will spend some time in review/preparation for the AP Exam, for those who choose to take it.
