Capital Improvements Plan
Long Term Capital Planning
As part of the feasibility study completed by Schrader Group in 2022, the District received detailed facility assessments for each of the District's buildings and sites. This study provided an exhaustive, line-item list of maintenance and improvements needed to create a Long Term Capital Plan. The administration reviewed this assessment and created a 10-year plan for existing buildings.
The plan includes $10.5M of construction costs in the first two years (2023-2024) and an additional $10.5M of construction costs in 5-6 years (2027-2028). These construction costs do not include work at the Middle School and Northern Elementary as the needed upgrades and maintenance at those buildings will be completed as part of building wide renovations. Estimated construction costs in 8-10 years totals an additional $2M.

In December 2022, the District incurred $9.66M of general obligation bonds to fund the immediate capital needs of District facilities.
