Physics is a year long introductory course. The course meets for seven periods in a six day cycle. The extra period enables us to perform laboratory experiments. The course covers the basic laws of physics. The course includes the following topics motion, vectors, force, gravitation, waves, eclectricty and optics. The course is designed to prepare that college bound students for college physics. Competencey in algebra is required and some trigonometry is used.

Students that have successfully completed either Physics 4400 or Physics 4410 are eligible for AP Physics P4700. AP physics is designed to be equivalent to a freshman college level Physics Course. The AP B Physics curriculum is followed and students may take the AP Physics B test to aquire college level credit in physics.
